Cinematographer / Camera Operator
KALIMANTAN / BORNEO
Since 2017, I have frequently returned to Kalimantan to work on a number of film and photography documentary projects. These have primarily focused on the plight of the Indigenous Dayak peoples at the hands of extractive industries, particularly logging and palm oil. I have been fortunate enough to work in this beautiful place alongside a number of inspiring Dayak communities, NGOs, and filmmakers to bring these projects to fruition.
My experiences here, particularly with the community of Long Isun are what inspired me to create my production company; Old Oak Film. Leading with environmental consciousness and telling stories that cover humanitarian and social issues. I am currently working on a much larger documentary project encompassing what I have captured during my time in Borneo.
Below are a small handful of images from my experiences in Kalimantan.
